Just a quick 50–60 minute boat ride from Mission Beach brings you to one of the most incredible dive destinations on the Great Barrier Reef—Beaver Reef!

This underwater playground is bursting with life, offering vibrant coral gardens, towering bommies, and sloping coral walls that drop to depths of 22 metres.

On the southern side of the reef, get ready for an adrenaline-pumping experience at Shark Alley

—a dive site that lives up to its name! As you cruise along the coral wall, you’ll be joined by a thrilling parade of pelagic fish and sleek reef sharks. It’s not uncommon to spot several whitetip and blacktip reef sharks gliding past on a single dive!

Over on the northern side, Beaver Cay is a diver favourite. Just off this picture-perfect coral cay, you'll find stunning coral gardens ranging from 12 to 22 metres deep. Here, alongside a rainbow of tropical reef fish, keep your eyes peeled for turtles, stingrays, and more of those majestic reef sharks.

Get ready to dive into a vibrant underwater wonderland at Eddy Reef!

This incredible dive site features a maze of coral ridges sitting between 10 to 20 metres deep, bursting with some of the most spectacular coral formations on the reef. From wide gorgonian fans to elegant pink whip corals and soft, swaying corals, it's a dreamscape for every diver and underwater photographer.

Weaving through the coral corridors, you'll encounter an amazing mix of marine life—

angelfish, surgeonfish, boxfish, pufferfish, lionfish, and wrasse are just a few of the reef’s colourful characters. And for those who like their fish on the bigger side, keep your eyes peeled for barramundi cod, coral trout, and massive gropers patrolling the reef.

But the real magic? It's in the tiny details. Peer closely and you’ll find a whole hidden world of nudibranchs, flatworms, shrimps, and coral crabs tucked into the reef’s nooks and crannies.
