Mission Beach is the birthplace of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and remains the closest mainland access point to the reef, just under 40km offshore. Out here, it’s a world away from the crowds—uncrowded, untouched, and unbelievably beautiful. Most days, you’ll have your snorkel or dive site all to yourself.

At the heart of it all is Mission Beach Dive—a family-run business, small in size but big on heart.

We’re proud to be a fully accredited PADI Dive Store and Training Facility, offering everything from beginner courses right through to Divemaster certification. With a focus on small group tours, we’re all about delivering safe, personal, and unforgettable reef experiences.

You’ll find us in our brand-new store in the centre of town, fully stocked with a great range of CRESSI dive, snorkel, and spearfishing gear—handpicked by divers, for divers.

Mission Beach itself is a laid-back stretch of coastline made up of four relaxed beachside villages spread across 14km of palm-fringed sands. It’s the kind of place where locals still outnumber tourists, and the pace of life moves with the tides.
